One of the most brilliant, talented botanical artists working today. This is an invaluable book to a botanical artist.

I was quite amazed at the detail there is in this relatively small publication. It takes you through the steps of locating a suitable working space, finding and using materials and then building skills to paint flowers in a different way from the botanical studies. It's wonderful!

A hard to find book. Beautiful paintings with color instructions.

I do not consider this my top pick if I were to reference a book for painting flowers. However, it does have some good supplemental information. In my flower book collection I prefer: The Watercolor Flower Painter's A to Z by Fletcher, Painting Flowers A to Z by Sherry Nelson, and A - Z of Flower Portraits by Showell. I find the pictures in these 3 books to be more vibrant and a greater variety of flowers.
