Über den Autor und weitere Mitwirkende
Olaf Schubert lebt als freier Fotojournalist und Buchautor in Dresden, reist und arbeitet seit über 20 Jahren in Asien. Schwerpunkt seiner fotografischen Arbeit sind Tibet, die Mongolei, Laos, Kambodscha, China und Vietnam. Auch durch andere Länder Asiens wie Indien, Myanmar (Burma), Kirgistan und Nepal etc. führen ihn immer wieder Reportagereisen.Seine Veröffentlichungen sind in mehreren Sprachen erschienen und mehrmals ausgezeichnet worden. International wurden mehrere Fotoausstellungen mit seinen Bildern gezeigt.Nach seinem Diplom zum Thema "Identität im kulturellen Kontext am Beispiel Tibets" schreibt und fotografiert Olaf Schubert für Bücher, Kalender und Journale. Außerdem zeigt er seine hintergründigen Live Foto-&Filmreportagen seit vielen Jahren im deutschsprachigen Raum. Seit Jahren leitet er das Schulbauprojekt Kongpo-Chukla e.V. in Tibet. Für seine Arbeit erhielt er u.a. den Frankfurter Weitsichtpreis.
